Bloomsburg Men's Soccer Falls to Lock Haven

BLOOMSBURG -The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team fell to Lock Haven University 2-1 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game on Saturday.
The teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half of play. Lock Haven's goalkeeper William Trimble III had a diving save against the Huskies' Eric Moninghoff's (Upper Black Eddy/Palisades) shot in the upper left corner. Bloomsburg took five shots, while Lock Haven took 10.
Ten minutes into the second period, the Huskies' John Brittingham (Stockton, MD/Pocomoke) scored off an assist from Moninghoff to take the lead. Only three minutes later, Paul Huckett of Lock Haven snuck a shot by David Leiendecker (Easton/Easton) to bring the game back to a tie. Both teams preserved the tie and the game was sent into overtime.
In overtime, both defenses stood firm throughout the period until Huckett scored for Lock Haven with only 28 seconds left in the period.
For the Huskies, Leiendecker stopped six saves while Trimble saved five for Lock Haven.
Bloomsburg, 0-5-0 (0-4-0 PSAC), will host Shippensburg on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the new Multi-Purpose Stadium.
